Major airports


Christchurch International Airport

Air New Zealand and Pacific Blue provide international flights from major Australian cities to Dunedin and also provide domestic flights from Dunedin to other NZ cities.

Queenstown International Airport

Air NZ sometimes provides direct flights seasonally from Australia to Queenstown.

By Car

Ohau House is approximately 38 km from both Omarama and Twizel and 5km from Ohau skifield.

Distances to Ohau House:

Ohau House is 315 kms south of Christchurch and 270 kms north of Dunedin. Turn off State Highway 8 between Twizel and Omarama. After about 18 km and after passing Lake Middleton and Lake Middleton Camping Reserve on your left, turn left following the sign for Lake Ohau Alpine Village. Drive into the village and through the roundabouts until your reach the top of the village. Turn right into Huxley Tce and Ohau House is the unpainted silver zincalume house directly opposite Ben Ohau.
