Ohau House at Lake Ohau has been architecturally designed to provide a
retreat that indulges the senses. An open plan living area, high ceilings
and the use of glass throughout create a spacious living environment
that is both an ideal resting point, and a place in which to take
in the natural surrounds.
The landscaping surrounding the house has been designed to preserve the
natural beauty of Lake Ohau and to complement the design of the house.
Greywacke boulders and indigenous plants have been positioned to provide
vistas from windows and create privacy while simultaneously preserving
a natural setting of beech trees and tussocks.
